View this video tribute Garnet Irene Goldsberry, 90, of Kahoka, MO died Friday, July 7, 2006 at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka, MO. She was born on January 2, 1916 in Downing, MO, the daughter of Oll and Edna A. Ware Blain. On November 23, 1935, Garnet was united in marriage to Joseph Ellis Goldsberry in Memphis, MO. He preceded in death on October 13, 2000. She was a member of the Bible Grove Christian Church in Bible Grove, MO. Garnet enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. Sewing was her specialty and she did beautiful embroidery, quilting and crocheting. She is survived by one son, Richard B. Goldsberry and his wife Gail of Loveland, CO, one daughter Jacqualyn J. Kephart and her husband David of Normal, IL, one daughter-in-law, Nancy Goldsberry of Kahoka, MO, seven grandchildren, Chris Goldsberry and his wife Dianna, Rich Goldsberry and his wife Judy, Eric Goldsberry and his wife Ramona, Joseph Kephart and his wife Michelle, Joyce Richards and her husband Russ, Chad Goldsberry, Jada Hammack and her husband Kelly, eighteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Iris Fryrear of Bowen, IL and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her son, Rex Goldsberry, one great-grandson, Dusty Lieb, one brother, Hollis Blain and one sister Ivaleigh Rhodes. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 11 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Reverend Dick Clifford officiating. Burial was in the Memphis Cemetery in Memphis, MO. Visitation was held after 1 p.m., Monday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with the family meeting with friends from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Memorials were made to the Alzheimer's Association.
