Gabriel Lee Chaney

Gabriel Lee Chaney, infant son of Angel Chaney passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA. He was born November 15, 2021 in Iowa City, IA. Though he was not destined to see the world, his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family. Gabriel brought happiness and joy to everyone he touched and will forever be cherished by his family. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his grandparents , Misty and Jeremy Fugate of Keokuk, step-father, Xavier Whitlock of Canton, MO, great-grandfather, Rodger McKnight of Keokuk, great-grandmother, Teri Heaberlin of Des Moines, IA and great-great-grandparents, Margaret and Don Webber of West Point, IA. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Amanda Kellum. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on March 11, 2022 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. Visitation was held prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time. Memorials may be made to the family.
