Frances M. Spiesz

Frances M. Spiesz, 86, of Keokuk, IA died Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Lexington Square in Keokuk, IA. She was born January 2, 1920 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of William and Violet Inman Biddenstadt. She was united in marriage to Herbert R. Spiesz on June 19, 1959 in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1983. Frances had been employed at Dryden Rubber for 14 years. She was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Keokuk, IA and the Royal Neighbors of America. She enjoyed cats, dogs and working in her garden. Frances is survived by one sister, Elizabeth Derr and her husband Junior of Farmington, IA, two brothers, Richard Biddenstadt and his wife Betty of Keokuk, IA, and Bird Biddenstadt and his wife Kay of Council Bluff, IA, several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Julius, Ralph, William and Vernon Biddenstadt. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend John Tyler officiating. Burial was in the Donnell Cemetery, Donnellson, IA. Memorials may be made to the St. Paul United Church of Christ.
