Frances E. Oliver, 82, of Keokuk, IA, died Thursday, March 24, 2005 at the Keokuk Area Hospital. She was born on March 25, 1922 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Frank and Ella Peterson Hornung. On August 5, 1939, Frances was united in marriage to Robert Alfred Oliver, Sr. in Donnellson, IA. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1983. She was of the Lutheran faith. She is survived by three sons, Lawrence Oliver, of Chelsea, Massachusetts, Robert A. Oliver of Pocatello, Idaho, and Keith Oliver of Keokuk, IA, two daughters, Deb Enderle of Keokuk, IA, and Karen Ackerson of Keokuk, IA, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one sister, Verna Kelly of Keokuk, IA and nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one son, Danny Oliver, one brother, Richard Hornung, and two sisters, Elsie Parish and Dorothy Sawyer. Graveside services were held at 11 A.M., Tuesday, March 29 at the Scandinavian Cemetery in rural Keokuk, IA with Reverend Terry Lovell officiating. A memorial was established for the Scandinavian Cemetery.
