Flora Kleiss, 76, of Ft. Madison, IA, formerly of Keokuk, IA, died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the Ft. Madison Community Hospital. She was born July 28, 1933, the daughter of Geter and Bertha Berry Willis in Shiloh, Arkansas. On August 13, 1950, she was united in marriage to Ralph R. Kleiss in Deer, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1992. Flora enjoyed watching religious shows and old shows on TV Land. She loved to listen to music especially Elvis. She is survived by two sons Robert Leon Kleiss of Ft. Madison, IA and Jerry Wayne Kleiss and his wife Kimberly of Hamilton, IL, two daughters, Darlene Krause and her husband Ronald of Melbourne, FL, and Donna Palmeter and her husband Bob of Columbia, MO, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Roscoe and Rufus Willis. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, December 7 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Rev. Robert Williams officiating. Burial was in the New Boston Cemetery in New Boston, IA. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
