Faye Gundy, 72, of Keokuk died Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Keokuk Area Hospital.
She was born December 18, 1943 in Burlington, IA the daughter of Kenneth and Inez Little Tickel.
Faye graduated from the Burlington Beauty Academy in Burlington, IA and managed Regis Hair Salon in Keokuk. She also had worked at the Keokuk Public Library, retiring from there in 2005 and worked at the Keokuk Country Club until 2008.
Faye was an avid reader and loved to watch movies. She invested much of her time researching her genealogy. She also loved to research homes and learn the history and stories of each one. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and taking them to adventure parks.
She is survived by two daughters, Shelly Robinson (Mike) of Coal Hill, AR and Tashia Gundy of Pearl, MS, one son Troy Gundy (Alicia) of Keokuk, seven grandchildren, Jacob Robinson, Richard Gundy, Kortney Grogan-Gundy, Zachary Grogan-Gundy, Trisha Nelson, Brody Crowther and Joshua Nelson, one great grandchild, McKenzie Pledger and one niece, Kasey Tickel of West Des Moines, IA.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Inez Hoambrecker and father, Kenneth Tickel, one brother, Dennis Tickel and one aunt, Retha Burgett.
There will be no services.
