Everett E. "Weiner" Mead, 74, of Keokuk, IA, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at his home. He was born on January 23, 1935 in Ethel, MO, the son of Estel and Barbara Speaks Mead. Everett enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. He is survived by five sons, Chris Mead and his friend Teresa Pietz and Richard Evans all of Ft. Madison, IA , Ronnie Mead, Steven Mead, and Michael Mead, his mother, Barbara Mead of Montrose, IA, two sisters, Betty Jones of Montrose and Darlene Jones of Keokuk, two brothers, Bob Mead of Montrose and Gerald Mead and his wife Sue of Montrose, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a special friend, Michelle Franks of Keokuk. He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents and one sister, Rosetta Mead. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation.
