Evelyn Stott

Evelyn Flaudia Stott, 95, of Kahoka, MO, died Friday, June 11, 2010 at the home of her daughter Nancy Adamson. She was born April 22, 1915 in Scotland County, Missouri the daughter of Roy and Pearl C. Bennett Orton. On March 29, 1930 she was united in marriage to Lloyd C. Stott in Cantril, IA. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1994. Evelyn began her life as a homemaker and a farmer. She enjoyed gardening and growing beautiful flowers. She loved having her grandchildren and great grandchildren around. She sold Watkins and Stanley products in a horse and buggy before there were cars. She was very active in 4-H with her older children, attending community meetings and also attended the rural Methodist Church in Clark County. She gave up milking cows, gathering eggs, and shearing sheep to work at Sheller Globe retiring in 1979 after 27 years of service. After retiring from Sheller she became involved with Girl Scouts for many years. Evelyn looked forward to the winters when it was time for the snow birds to return to Mission, Texas. She is survived by three daughters, Louise Rockhold of Wayland, MO, Nancy Adamson and her husband Larry of Kahoka, MO and Rozella Younker and her husband Gary of Aurora, CO, three sons, Clarence Wilbur Stott of Kansas City, MO, Ramo Eugene Stott and his wife Judy of Keokuk, IA and Danny Bill Stott of Bowling Green, MO. 22 grandchildren, Randy Stott, Ricky Stott, Clarisa McCulldy, Cynthia Masterson and her husband Jeff, Ramona Savage and her husband Kirk, Corrie Stott , Alison Stott, Lance Stott and his wife Stephanie, Dennis Ivan Bunker and his wife Tammy Sue, Daryl and his companion Gina, Denise Munguia and her husband Oscar, Dawn Uhlmeyer and her husband Darin, Dani Adamson and his wife Mary Ann, Jason Younker and Eric Younker, Linda Kirchner, Bonnie Bane and her husband James, Ronnie Rockhold and his wife Nancy, Jerry Rockhold and Peggy Rockhold. 33 great grandchildren, Toshia Evans and and her husband Jake, Dustin, Brandon and Kyle Savage, Joshua Stott, Amy Rade and her husband Jason, Suzan Stott, Ramo Stott, Amy Bunker, Amanda Young, Devin and Damon, April Bunker, Danielle Bunker, Daryl Bunker, Alicia and Victoria Mungunia, Brett Bunker, Breanna Bunker, Tristen, Caydon Uhlmeyer, Dalen and Colten Adamson, Beverly Henry and her husband Dave, Kevin Kirchner and his wife Michelle, Tim Bane and his wife Missy, Dianna Mojcoa and her husband George, Shad Rockhold and his wife Arlene, Shelby Rockhold and his wife Sara,and Adam W. Tucker and his wife Shanen. 30 great great grandchildren, Haley, Schuyler, Shelly, Summer, Zoey, Karlie, Madelyn, Alexic, Ridge, Colie, Natalie, Kelsie, Dalton, MAddie, Nickholas, T. J., Ashley, Taten, Leighton, Logan, Ashlyn, Christian, Gabrielle, Carson, Keily, Carter, Cory, Kelsey, and Heather. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gene and Leo Orton. Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2010 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Pastor Mike Shea officiating. Burial was in the Prairie View Cemetery in Scotland County, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the Prairie View Cemetery.
