Evelyn Bernice Yeoman Fasolas Moore, 97 of Keokuk, IA formerly of San Antonio, TX, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA. She was born March 31, 1921 in Cornwall, NY the daughter of Clarence Eugene and Emily Elizabeth Matthews Yeoman. She grew up in the Winona Lake area of Newburgh, NY. On January 18, 1946 she was united in marriage to Ret. USAF Lt. Col. James Eugene "Joe" Fasolas at Stewart Field, Newburgh, NY. They later divorced. On March 19, 1972 she was united in marriage to Louis Carlton Moore in San Antonio, TX. They also divorced. She graduated from Strayers Business College in Washington, D.C. Evelyn worked until she was eighty-three years old. She had been employed by Friden Inc. of D.C., the Office of the President of the U.S. Senate (Senator Carl Hayden) from 1963-1964, the Arlington Committee/Representative Hoyt Vandenburg, Southwest Research, Rhodes Department Store, Texas Pharmaceutical Company, General Contractors and USAA Telephone Answering Company. She was a member of The Fellowship of San Antonio (FOSA) Stone Oak in San Antonio, TX. She was also a member and secretary of the Poodle Club of San Antonio, secretary of the Men's Garden Club of San Antonio and a member of the Alamo City Republican Women's Club. Evelyn loved being a good Christian, her faith was an active and vital part of her life. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family who called her "Twinks" because she loved to dance. She also enjoyed sewing, hairdressing, ice skating, swimming, golf and cooking. Evelyn loved all animals especially dogs. Evelyn is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including a favorite nephew Ret. USAF Major Timothy Eugene Quicksell of Merritt Island, FL, her dear friend Robert Dee Deputy I of Austin, TX and her niece/caregiver, Theresa (Terry) Quicksell Kraus of Keokuk, IA She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters Anna Elizabeth Wild, Dorothy May Pitts, Muriel Bertha Mead, and June Matthews Quicksell. Interment will be held at a later date at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, New York.
