Obituary

Emma "Mackie" Danker, 91, of St. Patrick, MO died Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk. She was born February 22, 1922 in St. Patrick, Missouri the daughter Vincent and Bess McDonnell Boudreau. She married Robert Danker in St. Patrick, MO. He preceded her in death on September 27, 1978. Emma was a lifelong faithful member of the Shrine of St. Patrick in St. Patrick, MO and the Daughters of Isabella Circle. She is best known for her love of gardening, baking and cooking. She used her baked goods to reach out in kindness to friends and neighbors. Most of all her life flowed from her faith and focused on her family. She is survived by two sons, David Danker and his wife Rosetta of Altenburg, MO and Greg Danker and his wife Susan of St. Louis, MO, two daughters, Becky Danker of Columbia, MO and Kathy Tripp and her husband Kevin of St. Patrick, MO, four grandsons, Tim Danker and his wife Jennifer "JJ" of Mission Hills, KS, Eric Danker and his wife Jennifer of Los Angeles, CA, Rob Danker of St. Louis, MO, and Ben Tripp of St. Patrick, MO, one granddaughter, Tarisa Hodge of St. Charles, MO, two great granddaughters, Emery and Sophie Danker, four great grandsons, Ethan and Maxwell Danker and Ian and Adam Hodge a sister Carmie Schutte of Kahoka, MO and a sister in law Patricia Boudreau of El Cajon, CA along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Barbara Danker Uhlmeyer and Brenda Danker, one son-in-law, Ervin Uhlmeyer, five brothers, Charles, Robert, Edward, Maurice and Paul Boudreau and a sister Joan Boudreau Beglin. Mass of Christian burial was held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Shrine of St. Patrick in St. Patrick with Father Wheeler and Father Boniface officiating. Burial was in the St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation was held after 1 p.m. Thursday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with the family meeting with friends from 5-7:30 p.m. A prayer service was held at 7:30 p.m. followed by the rosary recited by the Daughters of Isabella Circle. Memorials may be made to the Shrine of St. Patrick.
