Elma G. White, 102, of West Point, IA formerly the Donnellson area and Keokuk, IA died Friday, November 18, 2005 at the West Point Care Center, West Point, IA. She was born December 6, 1902 in New Boston, IA the daughter of John P. and Anna C. Weber Lowenberg. She was united in marriage to Clifford White on March 6, 1943 in Granger, MO. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1983. Elma and Clifford farmed in Lee County until 1951 when they moved to a farm in Van Buren County near Farmington, IA. They retired to Keokuk in 1970. Following Clifford's death Elma moved to Donnellson, IA in 1984. She was a member of the Zion Menonite Church in Donnellson, IA and a former member of the Evangelical Free Church in Keokuk, IA. Elma enjoyed sewing and traveling with her husband. She is survived by one sister, Mildred Lowenberg of West Point, IA formerly Keokuk, IA, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Verda Loges, Lillian Trump, and Minnie Lowenberg, one brother, Roy Lowenberg. Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Monday, Nov. 21, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastors Judy Holcomb and Alice Hawes officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk, IA. A Memorial was established for the West Point Care Center.
