Elizabeth Caroline Keller 94, of Keokuk passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the Clark County Nursing Home.
She was born April 28, 1930 in Keokuk, the youngest daughter of Frank and Eliza Starns Moss.
On January 1, 1947, she was united in marriage to Maurice Keller in Unionville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1992.
Elizabeth was a meticulous homemaker who took great pride in keeping a warm and welcoming home. She had a keen eye for detail and kept her house spotless, always making sure everything was in its place. Her yard was a reflection of her care with neatly trimmed grass and vibrant flower beds that she tended with love. She had a passion for gardening and took joy in growing fresh vegetables, which she canned to provide for her throughout the year.
She was also a talented seamstress, sewing beautiful clothing for her children with skill. Whether it was a special dress for a Sunday service or everyday outfits, her creations were made with love and attention to detail. She found great joy in her craft, ensuring that her family was always dressed in well-made, stylish garments.
She is survived by two sons, John Keller (Donna) of Kahoka and Kenneth Keller (Robin) of Canton and one daughter, Carol Winkler (Frank) of Keokuk, nine grandchildren, Christy Hough (Nathan), Kelly Bjork (Andrew), April Hassman (Ben), Carson Noble (Corrie), Laura Keller (Marcie Thompson), Jesse Keller (Misty Boon), Sharon Stout (Reynold), Todd Cale (Nikki) and Amy Biggerstaff (Curtis) and several great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, two grandchildren, Darrin Cale and April Winkler and a great granddaughter, Alyssa Benedict.
A graveside service was held 11 am, Saturday February 22, 2025 at the Pherigo Cemetery in Unionville, MO.
Visitation was held from 5 - 7 p.m. Friday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with the family meeting with friends at that time.
Memorials may be made to the Pherigo Cemetery.
