Eldon Clark McFarland, Jr., 55, of Keokuk, IA died Monday, July 18, 2011 at his home. He was born on April 11, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Eldon Clark Sr. and Betty L. Young McFarland. Eldon graduated from the Warsaw High School in Warsaw, IL with the Class of 1974. He had been employed at Rite-Price Lumber in Keokuk and also had been the co-owner of Tri State Auto Sales in Keokuk. Eldon enjoyed collecting die cast cars and enjoyed watching WWE wrestling. He is survived by his mother, Betty L. McFarland of Keokuk, IA, one daughter, Celeste Fleming and her husband Mark of Keokuk, IA, one son, Tim McFarland of Keokuk, one granddaughter, Shelby McFarland of Keokuk, IA, one brother, Stephen McFarland and his wife Lynda of Sierra Vista, AZ, one sister Samantha Blanz and her husband Donnie of South Carolina, several uncles and aunts, including, Mel Young of Kahoka, MO, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, Charlie McFarland and Clay McFarland and one son, Eldon McFarland III. Funeral services were held 1:30 P.M. Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor John Heath officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk, IA. Memorials may be made to the family.
