Edward "Butch" Boudewyn, 66, of Keokuk, IA, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at his home. He was born on October 15, 1945 in Keokuk, IA the son of Edward and Flora Breitenbucher Boudewyn. Butch was employed at Swift and Co in Keokuk and also worked odd jobs throughout the years. He was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Keokuk, IA Butch enjoyed fishing, playing cards and listening to music, especially Elvis and Patsy Cline. He also enjoyed making a trip to Branson with his sister and going on the Ride the Ducks tour. He is survived by four sisters, Mary Weirather and her husband Roland, Rose Davis, Dorothy Jefferson and her husband Dan all of Keokuk and Loretta Brown and her husband Butch of Alexandria, MO, several nieces and nephews and one cousin. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
