Earl Dean Conover

Earl Dean Conover, 71, of Canton died Monday, April 23, 2018 at his home in Canton, Missouri. He was born October 2, 1946 in Warsaw, Illinois the son of Earl and Dorothy Brownlee Conover. He was first married to Zelda Green in Kahoka on July 15, 1967. To this union Mike and Deanna were born. They later divorced. On August 30, 1979 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Evermon in Vero Beach, Florida. She preceded him in death on April 1, 2018. Dean was employed with Keokuk Steel Castings for many years until his retirement. He was an avid Nascar fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by a son; Mike (Amy) Conover of Kansas City, a daughter; Deanna (Danny) Coin of Kirksville, a step son; Russell Pratt of Trinity, North Carolina, a step daughter; Angela (Ron) Eakins of Bucklin, eight grandchildren, five step grandchildren, three brothers; Don (Barb) Conover of Burlington, Bill (Lori) Conover of Hamilton, and Rocky (Peggy) Conover of Alexandria, three sisters; Jean Conover, Kathrine (Carl) McGlasson, and Judy (Lyle) Miller all of Keokuk, two sisters in law; Janet Conover of Kahoka and Barb (Alan) Beaird of Wyaconda, brother in law; Vernon Evermon of Wyaconda, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his wife he was also preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, two sisters, two brothers and a niece. A gathering of remembrance was held on May 5, 2018 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
