Drew J. Lewis, 30, of Keokuk, IA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison, IA.
He was born January 13, 1996, in Fort Madison, IA, the son of Donald Lewis Jr. and Amanda Briscoe Lewis. He graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 2014.
On October 5, 2019, Drew married the love of his life, Mikelle Weber, in Montrose, IA. She survives.
Other survivors include his two sons, Hudson and Asher; his parents, Donald Lewis Jr. and Amanda Lewis of Keokuk; his in-laws, Kimberly “Kim” and Dennis Kirchner, and David and Binky Weber; his grandparents, Lyndle and Roberta Bitting, Gertrude Lewis and Robin Briscoe; his grandmother-in-law, Lonna Diveney; grandfather-in-law, David Weber, Sr.; his brother-in-law, Darion Weber (Jessica); a nephew, Abel Lewis; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald Lewis, Sr. and John Briscoe; two uncles, Jason Bitting and Jamey Briscoe; his grandfather-in-law, Michael Diveney; and his grandmother-in-law, Sharon Weber.
Drew had been employed by Keokuk Water Works as a Water Treatment Operator since May 21, 2014.
Drew was always fixing and repairing things and making improvements around the home for his family. He always had a project in the works and took pride in caring for those he loved. He enjoyed baseball, especially following the St. Louis Cardinals, and he kept up with the latest football and sports news. He also enjoyed golfing and looked forward to any chance he had to get out on the course. Boating was another favorite pastime, and he loved spending time on the river whenever he could.
Drew shared an especially close bond with his parents and spent as much time with them as he could. He was truly the center of their world, and the love they shared as a family was evident to everyone who knew them. Most of all, Drew treasured the time he spent with his boys, who were the center of his world.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Keokuk.
According to his wishes, there will be no visitation.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mikelle Lewis.
