Dr. Paul Carroll, 70, of Keokuk, IA died Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA.
He was born September 22, 1936 in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Floyd Thomas and Theresa Mary Bromberg Carroll. He was united in marriage to Mary Helen Barr on November 27, 1965 in Carthage, Illinois.
Left to cherish his memory include, his wife, Mary Helen Carroll of Keokuk, IA, two sons, Tom Carroll and his wife Joan of Edwards, IL, Tim Carroll and his wife Stacia of Bettendorf, IA, one daughter, Dr. Carmen Clemenson and her husband Scott of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, eight grandchildren John, Hannah and Ben Carroll, Chloe and Cody Clemenson, Lauren, Carter and Gavin Carroll, a brother Darel Carroll and his wife Vera of Carthage, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dr. Daniel Carroll.
He graduated from Carthage Community High School with the class of 1954. He graduated from Western Illinois University with the class of 1958. He then enlisted with the United States Army and proudly served his country teaching at the Educational Center in Bamberg Germany. After returning from the military he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic and graduated with the class of 1967. On November 30, 1970 he opened his Chiropractic Clinic in Keokuk, Iowa.
Paul was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church of Keokuk, Iowa and the Knights of Columbus.
He enjoyed playing racquetball and handball, reading, traveling and going to the movies. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and cherished the time he spent with his family.
Mass of Christian burial was held at 10:00 a.m., Monday at the All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Paul Connolly officiating. Burial was in the Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Church of All Saints Building Fund in Keokuk, IA or the Keokuk Area Hospital Foundation.
