Obituary

Douglas Kent Waymack, 71, of Warsaw, IL, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. He was born September 12, 1949, in Macomb IL, the son of Kenneth and Marie Waymack. He received his education at Northwestern High School in Sciota, IL. He was a member of the basketball, football team and 4H. Growing up on his family farm he raised pigs and crops. He also raced horses in barrel races and received many ribbons for his accomplishments. During his life he built thirty-two self-help houses in Missouri, owned and ran Waymack's 66 service station in Monroe City, MO and Doug's Place in Warsaw, IL. He was a member of the Monroe City 4x4 club and raced his truck Ho Dee Doe. He always tried to help others when he could, loved being on the river with the Longneckers and loved drinking Busch beer with his friends and family, but always with a dash of salt. He is survived by his life partner, Kathy Ann Kitch of Warsaw, IL, daughter, Tabatha (Kevin) Shanley of Edina, MO, daughter, Brandy(Bart) Druger of Mexico, MO, daughter, Jennifer Taylor of Macomb, IL, son, Bill (Carrie) Waymack of Mt. Pleasant, IA, daughter, Gidgette Orr of Theodore, AL and Rusty (Michelle)Orr of Mediapolis, IA, sister, Wendy (Keith) Kreps of Blandinsville, IL, sister, Judy Peters of Sarasota, FL, several nephews, nineteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one special aunt, Geneva Richmond of Macomb, IL. Doug was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jake and Blanche Waymack, Thomas and Valentine Guarin, his parents, Kenneth and Marie Waymack, one brother, Jerry Waymack and several aunts and uncles. During Doug's last months he enjoyed feeding the squirrels and watching them play outside his living room, he will be missed dearly by all that loved him. There will be no services.
