Dorothy E. Yoe, 87, of Keokuk, IA, died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Lexington Square in Keokuk, IA. She was born on July 24, 1926 in Edina, MO, the daughter of Russell and Mabel Elston Myers. On September 26, 1943, Dorothy was united in marriage to William F. Eaton. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1959. She married Claude J. Yoe, Sr. on July 14, 1962 in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1998. Dorothy graduated from Quincy High School in Quincy, IL with the Class of 1943. She had been a resident of Keokuk since 1956. Dorothy was a member of First Christian Church of Keokuk, IA. Dorothy collected Barbie dolls and sewed all of their clothes. She enjoyed antiquing and spending time in her flower garden. She is survived by three daughters, Judith Salyers and her husband Dan of West Burlington IA, Doris J. Howard and her husband Buddy of Keokuk and Linda Szawiel and her husband Robert of Keokuk, two sons, William Eaton and his wife Ann of Keokuk and Arthur Yoe and his wife Susan of Keokuk, two step-daughters, Phyllis Lewis and her husband Donnie of Keokuk and Shirley Larrimore and her husband Joe of Marion, IL, one step-son, Leonard Yoe and his wife Kathy of Shellsburg, IA, twenty-nine grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, many step- grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 3rd, 2014 at the Oakland Cemetery with Reverend David Turner officiating. Memorials may be made to Breast Cancer Awareness or Lexington Square Activities Department.
