Dorothy L. Roberts, 71, of Medill, died Wednesday, July 02, 2014 at her home in Medill, Missouri. She was born March 24, 1943 in Burlington, IA, the daughter of James Edward Egley Jr. and Lois "Pauline" Long Egley Gallant. On June 22, 1963 she was united in marriage to Jerry D. Roberts in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2007. Dorothy graduated from the Clark County High School with the Class of 1963. She was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kahoka and the St. Michael's Alter Society. She was employed at Shellor Globe in Keokuk for 42 years before her retirement. Dorothy enjoyed making plastic canvas craft and giving them to her family and friends. She is survived by a daughter; Tammy Roberts of Kirksville, MO, a son; Glenn D. Roberts of Wayland, MO, a grandson; Jerry Roberts and a granddaughter; Destiny Roberts, her sister; Reta Steele of Keokuk, a brother in law; Rick Roberts of Wayland, two sisters in law; Terry Hageman and her husband Jim of Winchester, MO, and Linna Cooper and her husband Bill of Wayland, Missouri along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents, her mother and father in law, Glen and Geneva Gray Roberts, sister, Linda Lou Roberts, three brothers in law, Charles "Chuck" Steele, Gary Roberts and Steve Roberts and her favorite aunts, Marilyn Roach and Gert Roberts Rush. A mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2014 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kahoka with Father Boniface Nzabonimpa officiating. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Wayland. Memorials may be made to the St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Martha's Catholic Church, Shrine of St. Patrick or Hospice of Northeast Missouri.
