Dorothy M. Frueh Jobe, 82, of Keokuk, IA died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born on February 22, 1928 in Ravenscroft, TN, the daughter of Charles and Cleo Cody Page. She married Everett Frueh on February 26, 1946 in Folkston, GA. He preceded her in death on August 12, 1977. She married Ralph Jobe on December 14, 1996. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2005. Dorothy was a member of the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA. She had been a caring babysitter for many children over the years. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, crocheting and listening to and watching the Gaithers. She is survived by one daughter, Melody Riter and her husband Joe of Keokuk, one step-daughter, Sherry Jairl of Keokuk, five grandchildren, Joy Jairl of Keokuk, Brian Jairl of Keokuk, Wendy Canida of Montrose, Randy Frueh of Des Moines, IA and Amanda Dialing of Hamilton, IL, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, three sisters, Charlene Mickens of Toledo, OH, Annetta Lewis and her husband Carnell of Denton, TX, and Nadine Simmons of Keokuk, one brother, Lyle Paul Page of Montrose and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one step-son, Everett Frueh, Jr., two sisters, Betty Ewing and Louvena Nash and three brothers, Cloyd Page, Charles Page and Otis Page. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 8 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial was in the Keokuk National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA.
