Dorothy Ann "Dot" Ewing, 83, of Keokuk, IA, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Lexington Square in Keokuk, IA.
She was born September 12, 1927 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Earl V. and Laura Harrison Jemison. On September 23, 1946 she was united in marriage to Carl F. Ewing in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1987.
Dot graduated from Saint Peter's High School in Keokuk, IA with the Class of 1945. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk, IA.
Dot loved to bowl and had been an avid bowler for forty years. She shared her love of bowling with kids by volunteering as a Youth Bowling Coach on Saturday mornings.
She is survived by one daughter, Laura Morgan Mesner of Orlando, FL, four grandchildren, Carl E. Morgan of Tampa, FL, Katie Ewing and Annie Ewing both of St. Louis, MO, and Jeri Ann Morgan of Orlando, FL, one great-granddaughter, Bailey Hanson of Orlando, FL, and several nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one son, James Ewing and one sister, Laura Jane Seabold.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Geoff Mitchell officiating.
Burial was in the Keokuk National Cemetery.
