Doris Mccane

Doris McCane, 66 of Keokuk, IA, died Sunday, May 27, 2018 at her home. She was born on July 20, 1951 in Sun Flower, MS, the daughter of Jessie and Clara Nicholson McClinton. On October of 1979, Doris was united in marriage to Ronald McCane in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2006. Doris had been employed as an in-home Daycare provider for ten years. She loved watching her favorite soap operas on television and grilling out with a nice cold one. During her lifetime Doris received her greatest joy from spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by two sons, Larry McCane and wife Amy of Keokuk, Chuck McClinton and wife Glenna of Cedar Rapids, two step-daughters, Angelina McCane and Lisa Strickland and husband Earnest all of Hannibal, MO, seventeen grandchildren, Quincy, Cobaine, Damarcus and Tyson McCane, Chase Mosely, Raven and Chardae McClinton, Brooklynn McClinton, Hallie McClinton, Jovan Rule, Deanndra, Quentin, and Vashaun Dorsey, Dominique, Lawrence, Mercedes and Jordan Strickland, one daughter-in-law, Brandy Rule, five sisters, Carol Donaldson of Burlington, IA, Linda McClinton of Chicago, IL, Annie McClinton and husband Robert and Nancy McClinton, all of Haywood City, MO and Debra Wheeler and husband Jessie of Sikeston, MO, three brothers, Donnie McClinton and wife Loraine of Cape Girardeau, MO, Virgie McClinton and wife Irene of Chicago, James McClinton and wife Juanita of Haywood City, MO, one step-sister, Betty Jo Turner of Sikeston, MO and one sister-in-law, Geneva McClinton of Sikeston, MO. Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by one step-son, Ron Ron, her parents, two brothers, Felix and Jessie McClinton and one sister, Brenda McClinton. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on June 2, 2018, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk. Memorials may be made to the family.
