Doris E. Wilson Harrison, 85, of Keokuk, IA, died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA. She was born on September 25, 1927 in Chicago, IL the daughter of George and Harriet Heacock Wilson. She married James Harrison and he preceded her in death. Doris had been employed at Sheaffer Pen in Ft. Madison, IA for over 15 years, retiring in 1987. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed making clothing for her children while they were growing up. Doris also enjoyed quilting and put many hours of love into the beautiful quilts she crafted for her family. One of her favorite pastimes was playing Bingo. She is survived by two sons, Gary Harrison and his wife Sandy of Alexandria, MO and Allen Harrison of Montrose, IA, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, two brothers, Harold Wilson and his wife Lois of Wayland, MO and Raymond Wilson and his wife Gloria of Ft. Worth, TX. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Bergheger on June 21, 2012 and her parents. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Terry Lovell officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk, IA.
