Doris Louise Frazee-High, 87, of Hamilton, IL died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk. She was born October 28, 1927 in Keokuk, Iowa the only child of Harold and Katherine Hutchinson Sutherland. On August 14, 1947 she was united in marriage to James B. Frazee. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1984. On February 8, 1992 she was married to Rellis High. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1996. Doris graduated from Keokuk Senior High School with the Class of 1945. She was accepted to the University of Iowa but went on a trip to California with her friends instead for a couple years. After she returned she met Jim and raised her family on the Frazee Farm in rural Wayland, MO. She was employed with Dr. Ambery's office, Carlton Smith Industries, R.G. Dickerson, Clark Securities and Rellis High Construction. In 1987 she obtained her Stock Broker's License. Doris was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Keokuk and served on the consistory for several years She enjoyed playing card games and golfing. She loved to travel and never missed an opportunity to take off on an adventure. She also loved her condo at Lake Ozark, MO making many memories with family and friends. She is survived by her three children, Penelope Frazee Mount of Canon City, CO, James "Mike" Frazee and wife Jane of Rural Wayland, MO and Robert Frazee and wife Tami of Eldon, MO, two step children, Rellis "Buddy" High and wife Donna and Steve High and wife Anne, six grandchildren four step grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and six step great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husbands she was also preceded in death by her parents and her two sons in law. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Keokuk with Reverend Nathan Frazee officiating. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Frazee Cemetery in Alexandria, MO. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church with the family meeting with friends at that time. Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ in Keokuk. The Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk is handling the arrangements.
