Donna Jean Wilson, 80, of Keokuk, IA, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA. Donna was born October 3, 1933 in Warsaw, IL the daughter of Lloyd and Velma Heule Hamrick. On January 6, 1950 she was united in marriage to Robert V. Wilson in Keokuk. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2009. Donna graduated from Warsaw High School with the Class of 1951. In high school she was a baton twirler and drum majorette. She had been employed at the P.M. Grill in Warsaw when she was only thirteen years old. From 1953-1978 Donna had been employed at the Grand Lunch in Keokuk. Donna was a member of the Calvary Foursquare Church in Keokuk, where she often helped with Sunday school classes. In her younger years, Donna loved to play baseball with her kids. She enjoyed picture taking, walking, singing and listening to gospel music. Donna enjoyed fellowship with others and was dedicated to reading the Bible. She was an excellent cook and was a very loving care giver to others. She is survived by two sons, Gary Wilson of Ft. Madison, IA and Steve Wilson and his wife Tammy of Ft. Wayne, IN, two daughters, Roberta Stice and her husband Richard of Kahoka, MO and Patsy Holmes and her husband John of Omaha, NE, six grandchildren, Brandon Wilson and his wife Shilea of Hamilton, IL, Stacie Allen and her husband Matt of Princeton, TX, Haley Wilson of Ft.Wayne, IN, Todd Wilson of Ft. Wayne, IN, Brian McEntee of Hamilton, IL and Scott McEntee of Nauvoo, IL, four great-grandchildren, Bryce Wilson and Alyssa, Austin and Trenton Hardy and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Alyce Kennedy and Marilyn Davis and one brother, Vernon E. Heule. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 20 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Dan Davis officiating. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, IL. Memorials may be made to the Calvary Foursquare Church.
