Donna R. Schleisman, 100, of Keokuk, IA, died Friday, August 26, 2022 at River Hills Village in Keokuk.
She was born on December 4, 1921 in Glidden, IA, the daughter of Chester and Geraldine Gotsch Moore. She graduated from Carroll High School with the Class of 1939.
On August 28, 1941, Donna was united in marriage to Merle E. Schleisman in Lidderdale, IA. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1999.
Donna was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk.
She had been employed at Kresge's for seventeen years and at Sheller Globe for seven years.
She is survived by one daughter, Joleen Pfeiff of Burlington, IA, three grandchildren, Jennifer Williams (Chris), Kurt Pfeiff (Dottie) and Peter Pfeiff (Mandy), eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Sharon, three brothers, Vernon, Richard and Daryl Moore and one sister, Jean Neppel.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, September 23, 2022 at All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. Following the burial everyone is invited for food and fellowship at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Keokuk.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:30 -11 am at the church with family meeting with friends at that time.
Memorials may be made to the All Saints Catholic Church or to the River Hills Village Activity Fund.
