Donald L. "Rabbit" Ver Dught, Jr, 52, of Revere, MO died Tuesday, April 17, 2007 following a motorcycle accident.
Donald was born May 28, 1954 in Cedar Rapids, IA the son of Donald L. and Patricia L. Kuba Ver Dught.
He graduated from Newton Senior High in Newton IA with the Class of 1972.
He had been employed at Climax in Ft. Madison, IA for twenty-seven years.
He was a member of the Non-Denominational AL Church and the Elks Club.
Donald enjoyed hunting ducks and doves, fishing, collecting antiques and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his life long love, Nancy Welsh of Keokuk, IA, his parents, Donald and Patricia Ver Dught of Kahoka, MO, two sisters, Darcia L. Ver Dught of Farmington, IA, and Diana R. Ver Dught of Kahoka, MO, nephews, Jacoblee Ver Dught of Burlington, IA and Caleb Ver Dught of Keokuk, IA, a niece Amanda Jo Griffin and her husband Phillip of Warsaw, IL a great niece, Alexis Agnew of Warsaw, IL , a great nephew Corbin Agnew of Warsaw, IL, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald D. Ver Dught, his grandmothers, Pearl Irene Ver Dught, and Leona Marie Scott and his grandfathers Marian Perm Ver Dught and Melvin George Kuba, several aunts and uncles.
A visitation was held after 1 p.m. on Friday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with the family meeting with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
There was no formal service.
