Donald Lee Holland, 53 of Keokuk, IA died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. He was born January 5, 1958 in Keokuk, IA the son of Donald and Dorothy Elmore Holland. He first married Cindy Riddle, they later divorced. He then married Karen Lowary and to this union Donald Lee Holland, Jr. was born. Donald had been employed as a truck driver for Donald Holland trucking for many years. He was most known as being the owner and operator of the Deluxe Cab Company in Keokuk for many years. He also had a newspaper delivery route for all area newspapers. Donald enjoyed bowling and going to flea markets and antiquing. He was also a foster parent for many years. He is survived by his son, Donald Lee Holland, Jr. of Keokuk, IA, his parents, Donald and Dorothy Holland of Keokuk, IA, one step-daughter, Heather Holland Shelton of Australia, two sisters, Donna Weber and her husband Stephen Sr. of Keokuk, IA and Dianna Seabold and her husband Doug of Keokuk, IA, three aunts, MarScine Whaley of Keokuk, IA, Norma Anderson of Burlington, IA and Sharon Mercer and her husband Gary of Ft. Madison, IA, two uncles, Richard Whaley of Keokuk, IA and Forrest Holland and his wife Mary of Davenport, IA and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday June 19, 2011 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA. Burial was in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Keokuk, IA. Memorials may be made to the family.
