Donald L. Bullard, 65, of Keokuk, IA, died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at the Keokuk Area Hospital, in Keokuk IA.
He was born on February 9, 1942 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Roy and Elaine Miller Bullard. On June 5, 1960, Donald was united in marriage to Sharon Hemingway. She survives.
Other survivors include his son, Todd Bullard and his wife Kathleen of Keokuk, IA, his granddaughter, Ashton Bullard of Keokuk, IA, two aunts, Viola Fisher of Hamilton, IL and Genevieve Koehler of Rock Island, IL, his mother-in-law, Leona Hemingway of Keokuk, IA, a sister-in-law, Sandy Pollitt and her husband John of Keokuk, a niece, Lisa Morris, three nephews, Chris Pollitt, Steve Pollitt and Shawn Hemingway and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Robert Hemingway.
Don graduated from Argyle High School in Argyle, IA with the Class of 1959.
He had been employed at Anchor Metals in Ft. Madison, IA for over twenty years. He then worked for the City of Keokuk until his health forced him to retire.
He was a member of the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk.
Don loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. His family meant the world to him and his granddaughter was the apple of his eye.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 3 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Brother Bryce McFarland officiating. Burial was in the Montrose Cemetery in Montrose, IA.
