Obituary

Diane Lynn McCormick Moe, 59, of Keokuk, IA, died Friday, June 1, 2007 at her home. She was born on January 24, 1948 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Lester and Vivian Oldfather McCormick. She had been a special friend of Rodney Laymon,for the past fifteen years. He died unexpectedly at her home on June 1, 2007. She graduated from Revere High School in Revere, MO. She attended God's Way Christian Center and the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA. She was the founder of the Mickey Mouse CB Club. She enjoyed sewing and always made clothing for her children. She loved her cats. She received first place in a muzzle loading competition in southern California. Diane was a loving mother and grandmother and would do anything for her children. She even risked her life for them when she saved them from a house fire. She is survived by three daughters, Alicia Boyd of Keokuk, IA, Elizabeth Boyd and Erica Ann Heathman both of San Diego, CA, four step-sons, Jeffrey Boyd of Kahoka, MO, Raymond Boyd of Fulton, MO, Kevin Spurgeon and Kenny Spurgeon both of Keokuk, IA, two step-daughters, Sarah Cooper and Sherry Cooper both of Keokuk, IA, her grandchildren, Robert and Christopher Boyd and Jonathan Keefe, her great-granddaughter, Emily Kay, one brother, Paul McCormick and his wife Mary of Sacramento, CA, one sister, Carol Horn and her husband Leroy of Phoenix, AZ, and numerous foster brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Memorials may be made to the family.
