Dennis Allen Glover, 79 of Conroe, TX, formerly of Keokuk, died Monday, November 21, 2016 in Conroe, TX.
He was born August 29, 1937 the son of Marion (Frank) and Winifred (Betty) Hammans Glover. On September 2, 1960 he was united in marriage to Catherine Fay Hays. She survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Stephanie (Tom) Nickel of Keokuk, Deborah (Steve) Campbell of Keokuk and Rhonda (Terry) Daniels of Conroe, TX, eight grandchildren, Micheal (Jenna) Shuman, Josh (Danielle)Anderson Jacob Anderson, Mike (Sarah) Campbell and Mary Campbell all of Keokuk, Taryn (Nick McCarter)Daniels, Tiffany Daniels and Lucas (Nikcole McLaughlin) McGee, all of Conroe, TX, five great-grandchildren, Alexis and Brady Shuman and Lennon Anderson all of Keokuk and Zayden McCarter and Bentley McGee both of Conroe, TX and one brother, Gary (LouAnn) Glover of Keokuk.
Dennis was a veteran of the United States Marines and proudly served his country from 1958-1960.
He had been employed at several area companies, including Horner Box, B.L. Robinson and lastly Armour Dial from 1972 until his retirement in 1999.
Dennis was an excellent handyman and could fix anything. He enjoyed camping and woodworking. Since his retirement he enjoyed traveling in his RV with his wife.
A Gathering of Remembrance was held from 4-6 p.m., on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk.
