Debra Jean LeMatty, 67 of Montrose, IA passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at her home in Montrose, IA.

Deb was born October 24, 1955 in Kirksville, MO the daughter of Robert and Myrna McCarty. She was raised by Myrna and Stub Holmes. Deb married the love of her life, Tim LeMatty, on January 19, 1971 and they were happily married for fifty-two years.

Deb is survived by her husband, one son, Timmy LeMatty of Montrose, IA, one daughter, Tammy Robbins (Scott) of Montrose, IA, her mother and father, Myrna Holmes (Stub) of Montrose, IA, one brother, Jerry McCarty (Janice) of Donnellson, IA, grandchildren, Ariel LeMatty (Jason) of Chicago, IL, Timothy LeMatty, III (Erika) of Ft. Madison, IA Ty LeMatty (Paige) of Navarre, FL, Dalton Robbins of Montrose, IA and Cole Robbins of Montrose, IA and great-granddaughters, Abigail and Ember LeMatty of Ft. Madison, IA.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Joe McCarty.

Deb's passions were her family, friends and animals whom she served her entire life. At various times she raised horses, mini ponies, cows, mini donkeys and chickens on their rural property. She loved riding horses, camping, fishing and taking drives with her beloved pet dog, Gracie. Deb had a big heart. She loved and was loved by her family and many friends.

According to her wishes, she was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
