Deborah Lea Adams, 62, of Keokuk, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born on August 31, 1951, in Keokuk the daughter of Marion and Joyce Davis Ramsey. On September 6, 1996 she was united in marriage to Donald W. Adams in Keokuk. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Coppler and Jody Coppler and his wife Michelle all of Keokuk, one daughter, Jamie Hamelton and her husband Terry of Keokuk, two step-daughters, Audrey Woods and Heather Adams both of Keokuk, one step-son, Trevor Adams and his wife Jana of Quincy, IL, one brother, Chris Ramsey and his wife Julie of Keokuk, two sisters, Linda Burdette and her husband Mike of Keokuk and Jana Zeigler and her husband Ronnie of Staunton, IL, eleven grandchildren, two brothers-in-law and their wives and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and her father-in-law and mother-in-law. Deborah graduated from Keokuk Senior High with the Class of 1969. She was employed at the Iowa Work Force Development for 22 years retiring in 2010. A Gathering of Remembrance, celebrating the lives of both Donald and Deborah, was held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk. A private family graveside service for Donald and Deborah was held at the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk with military rites honoring Donald's service in the U.S. Navy. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cancer Research Center or the Diabetes Foundation.
