David Allen Krome, 63, of Keokuk died Sunday, October 11, 2015 at his home.
He was born August 20, 1952 in Keokuk the son of Willard and Delma Gorham Krome. He was united in marriage to Kimberly Lewis on May 8, 1971 in Ft. Madison, IA. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Tara Michelle Nicoli and her husband Scott of Keokuk, one son, Drew David Krome and his wife Melissa of Keokuk, one grandson, Taylor Krome and his wife Taylor of Keokuk, two granddaughters, Bailey Nicoli and Paige Krome both of Keokuk, one great-grandson, Hudson David Krome, to be born in November 2015, one brother, Rodney Krome and his wife Kathy of Keokuk and one sister Debbie Bland and her husband Tim of Bullard, TX and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
David graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1970.
He had been employed as a union carpenter-millwright and was a builder on many local projects including the Mississippi Terrace and the Hoerner YMCA. He later worked in maintenance at River Hills Village in Keokuk.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Keokuk.
David enjoyed traveling and fishing. David treasured the time he spent with his family and friends and the memories that were made will live on in their hearts forever.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Reverend David Turner officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in the Montrose Cemetery.
