David Howard Dunne, Jr. was born on July 15, 1953 in Keokuk, IA, the son of David Howard and Irene Rudd Dunne. On June 28, 1990 David was united in marriage to Constance E. Londrie in Keokuk, IA. David was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam war. He was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk, IA and the United States Steel Workers Union Local 3311. He had been employed at Keokuk Steel Castings for fourteen years and took early retirement in 2004 due to his health. He was a collector of model trains. He enjoyed taking Sunday afternoon sightseeing drives and working on construction projects around his home. David was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. David Howard Dunne, Jr., died Sunday, September 18, 2005 at the Keokuk Area Hospital at the age of 52. He is survived by his wife, Constance, of Keokuk, IA, two daughters, Amber Dunne and Natosha Dunne both of Quincy, IL, two step-daughters, Sonya Brown and her husband Larry and Robine Sackman and her companion Mike Wrieden all of Quincy, IL, one step-son, Kenneth Sackman and his wife Donna of Pensacola, FL, one sister, Mary Katherine Davis and her husband Pete of Keokuk, IA, one brother, Andrew Dunne and his wife Cathy of Keokuk, IA, eleven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Dunne, his father, David Howard Dunne and his mother, Irene Dunne. Memorial services were held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, September 21, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA. Burial with military rites was in the Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk, IA. Memorials may be made to the family.
