David Eric Dougherty

David Eric Dougherty was born on August 14, 1959 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Robert and Dorothy Heston Dougherty. David graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1977. He received his Bachelors Degree from Truman State in Kirksville, MO. He had been a resident of Hamilton since 1996. Prior to that he had lived in Independence, MO and Overland Park, KS. He had been employed as a Computer Programmer. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Keokuk, IA. David enjoyed reading, photography and computers. He loved to watch sports and was a great fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs. David Eric Dougherty died Thursday, June 16, 2005 at his home at the age of 45. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Dougherty of Keokuk, IA, one daughter, Sarah of Allentown, PA, four brothers, Robert Dougherty of Apache Junction, AZ, Michael Dougherty and his wife Harriett of Detroit, MI, Roger Dougherty and his wife Joan of Manchester, IA, Douglas Dougherty and his wife Pam of McGaheysville, VA, one sister, Lisa Bode and her husband Darren of Keokuk, IA, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father on July 11, 1996. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 21 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Bill Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, IL. Memorials may be made to the family.
