David L. Arp, 66, of Keokuk, IA, died Wednesday, May 16 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. He was born on March 5, 1941 in Quincy, IL, the son of Bud and LaVern Buckman Arp. On July 11, 1964 he married Sharon Carel in Quincy. She preceded him in death in April 2005. David graduated from Quincy Notre Dame High School and attended Quincy University. He had been employed at Peters Heating and Air Conditioning in Quincy, IL for over 20 years. He was currently employed in the hardware department at Wal Mart in Keokuk, IA. David was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed working with his hands. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandson. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Walker and her husband Deon of Keokuk, IA and his grandson, David Walker. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Lachelle Arp. A Gathering of Remembrance was held after 3 p.m. on Monday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with the family meeting with friends from 6 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the wrestling program at Keokuk High School in Keokuk, IA.
