Darrell W. Aldridge, 53 of Canton, MO died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. He was born on March 7, 1958 in Davenport, IA the son of Junior and Shirley Love Aldridge. On December 1, 1984 Darrell was united in marriage to Joyce Biggerstaff in Davenport, IA. She survives. Other survivors include one brother, Allen Aldridge and his wife Teresa of Davenport, IA, one sister, Debbie Aldridge of Davenport, IA, brother-in -laws and sister-in-laws Ken & Norma Kelley of Milan, IL, Kay & Joe Biggerstaff of Wayland, MO and Daryl & Linda Johnson of Kahoka, MO, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and many special friends. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Barb. He graduated from Davenport West with the class of 1976 and then attended Hannibal LaGrange College. Darrell worked at Hawkeye Steel in Houghton, IA, retiring in 2003. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed hunting, watching westerns and taking care of his yard. He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and Minnesota Vikings fan. He loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A Gathering of Remembrance was held from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, July 3 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA. Memorials may be made to the Keokuk Are Hospital Foundation.
