Daniel "Boone" Winters, 66, of Alexandria, MO, passed away April 2, 2013 at the Clark County Nursing home surrounded by his special friends. Daniel was born on December 9, 1946 in Champaign, IL the son of Art and Doris Winter. He owned and operated Times Past Auto Body Shop in Champaign and also worked on construction crews. He had lived in Alexandria, MO for the past 20 years. Daniel loved the outdoors and was happiest when he was fishing and camping. He also enjoyed working in his garden. He loved all kinds of animals but none had a greater place in his heart than his faithful dog J.D. He was always at "Boone's" side, whether at home, in the fishing boat or by the campfire. "Boone" and J.D. are together once again in the House of the Lord. Daniel is survived by two daughters, Fonda and Kimberly, one brother, Scott Winters of Fisher, IL, two nieces and two nephews and his very special friends, Mary Teeters and Dennis Krenmeyer of Montrose, Jim McCarty of Wayland, MO and Chad Harris of St. Francisville, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Gathering of Remembrance for family and friends was held on Saturday April 6th 2013 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA
