Dale Lillard, 79, of Kahoka, MO died Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born February 3, 1934 in DeQueen, Arkansas the son of Eldon and Floy McCabe Lillard. On July 3, 1957 he was united in marriage to Joy Broomhall in Wayland, Missouri. She preceded him in death on July 3, 2008 on their 51st wedding anniversary. Dale proudly served his country during the Korean conflict from 1953-1957 in the United States Air Force. He was awarded the National Defense service medal, the Korean Service medal and the good conduct medal. For fifteen years he drove books around to the country schools. After that he worked at Foote Mineral for eight years. Dale was a member of the NRA and loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by a son Howard Dale Lillard and his wife Glenda of Niota, IL, two grandchildren, Tony Beasley and Jessica Beasley, a great granddaughter Aspyn Beasley and a sister Collette Larson of St. Francisville, MO. Besides his wife he was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother Charley Lillard. His body has been cremated and there will be no services.
