Dale A. Blum

Dale Arden Blum, 57 of Nauvoo, IL died Monday, May 14, 2012 at his home. He was born February 25, 1955 in Kirksville, MO, the son of Forrest and Hazel Foglesong Blum. On August 31, 1973 he was united in marriage to Constance Jo Martin in Keokuk, IA. They were reunited in marriage on October 5, 1991 in Wayland, MO. She survives. Other survivors include his mother, Hazel Vera Blum of Kahoka, MO, two sisters, Nancy Blum Simpson and her husband Lon of Nauvoo, IL and Nina Blum Coons and her husband Jim of Kahoka, MO, two brothers, Van Blum and his wife Jennifer of Kahoka, MO and Daryl Blum and his wife Regina of Kahoka, MO and his mother and father-in-law, Pat and Betty Martin of Nauvoo, IL, two brothers-in-law, Pat Martin and his wife Kandy and Dennis Martin and his wife Penny all of Keokuk, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, and one daughter, Shannon Carol Blum in 2000. Dale graduated from the Clark County R-1 Schools in Kahoka, MO with the Class of 1973. Dale had worked at MMC, Inc. in Keokuk, IA. He was a member of the Wyaconda First Baptist Church in Wyaconda, MO. Dale was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed watching baseball on TV. He enjoyed woodworking with his brother-in-law. A Celebration of Life service was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Dan Deatrick officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Wayland or to the family.
