Crystal Denise Hartsock, 68, of Keokuk, died Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Keokuk Area Hospital. She was born on October 12, 1948 in Alexandria, MO the daughter of Raymond and Lillie Ilene Washburn Benge. She was united in marriage to Donald Lee Fowler in October of 1967, they later divorced in 1974. She then married Theron Hartsock January 27, 1980 in Keokuk, IA, they later divorced. She was member of the Faith Bible Church. Crystal had been employed at Casey's for 13 years and was known as "The Donut Lady". She loved her cup of coffee every day. She enjoyed doing jigsaw and suduko puzzles, reading romance books, being outside enjoying nature and spending time with her friends at the Mississippi Terrace. But, she especially loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren as they were her pride and joy. Crystal is survived by three daughters, Trudy Bennett (Marty), Denise Fowler (Darrell Azbill) and Crystal Wrieden (Ray Davis) all of Keokuk. One son, Benjamin Hartsock (Jessica Hasper) of Keokuk, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, one brother, Mike Benge (Leah) of Halfway, MO, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, three brothers and a granddaughter, Faith. A Gathering of Remembrance for family and friends will be held Friday from 12 noon - 4 pm at the Mississippi River Terrace Community Room In Keokuk.
