Colby Ryan Deck, 27 of Keokuk, IA passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024.

He was born January 28, 1997 in Keokuk, the son of Derek Shaul and Clara Deck.

Colby graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 2015.

He was a member of First Christian Church in Keokuk.

He had been employed by CCS Construction.

Colby enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and going on camping trips. He loved all types of sports, especially bowling, shooting pool and playing basketball with his brother. He also enjoyed tinkering on cars and making repairs to them. Colby was a good friend to many and was always quick to smile and lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his son, Silas Deck of Keokuk, two brothers, Hunter Alberts of Quincy, IL and Brendin Alberts of Ft. Madison, IA and his mother, Clara Deck of Fond du Lac, WI. He is also survived by his maternal grandfather, Millard Deck of Keokuk, maternal grandmother, Kathy Knox of Keokuk, paternal grandfather, Dennis Shaul, one uncle, Damon Shaul and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father and paternal grandmother, Becky Shaul.

A funeral service was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Jeff Higbie officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery in Kahoka.

Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, August 2, 2024 at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time.
