Clarence Murrell Muhammad, 74, joined Allah on May 21, 2019, from his home in Keokuk, Iowa.
He was born on February 17, 1945, in Keokuk, the son of Joe and Flossie Scott. Clarence graduated from Keokuk High School in the Class of 1963.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.
He was employed as an engineer at Northwestern Bell and retired with over twenty years of dedicated service.
Clarence was a member of the Nation of Islam where he enjoyed participating in worship and fellowship. He also enjoyed fishing, cookouts with family and working on construction projects. Clarence was a genuine, intelligent and charismatic man, who will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
He is survived by his two daughters, Krista (Michael) Scott of Des Moines, IA and Tracy (Anthony) Conard of Davenport, IA, three grandchildren, Anthony, Isaiah, and Devon Conard all of Davenport, IA, four brothers and five sisters, Roy, Joe, Bruce, Joy and Lucretia Scott, all of Keokuk, IA, Stuart Scott of Davenport, IA, Joanne Muhammad of Moline, IL, Gail Scott of Macomb, IL and Vickie Mims of Quincy, IL, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Alma Sue Clayton and Flossie "Peaches" Dade.

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 2 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the Keokuk National Cemetery. Funeral procession will leave the Vigen Memorial Home at 11:45 a.m.
