Clara Geneva Harker, 90, of Warsaw, IL, died Friday, November 17, 2006 at her home. She was born on February 8, 1916 in Coalfield, IA, the daughter of John Benjamin and Grace Medley Gragg. On April 30, 1931, Clara was united in marriage to William Dean Harker in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on November 21, 1991. Clara had been a devoted homemaker and also helped her husband with farming. She was a member of the Parkview Bible Church in Hamilton, IL. She loved to work in her garden and can the produce she grew. She was an excellent baker and was famous for her pies and homemade breads. Clara was a loving mother and grandmother and treasured the times she spent with her family. She is survived by four daughters, Martha Bloyd of Wayland, MO, Marjorie Helwig and her husband John of Keokuk, IA, Ruth Scheuermann and her husband Kenneth of Nauvoo, IL, and Anna Hardy and her husband Don of Warsaw, IL, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, twenty-one great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Louise Harker and Mary Lou Keller, two sons-in-law, Donald Keller and Raymond Bloyd, three grandchildren, Paul Helwig, James Keller and Barbara Welch, five sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 21 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Martin Pitcher officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, IL. Visitation will be held after 1 p.m., Monday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with the family meeting with friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Shiloh Christian Children's Ranch.
