Christina "Tina" Hufford, 91, of Keokuk, IA, died Friday, June 13, 2008, at River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA. She was born July 7, 1916 in Farmington, Iowa the daughter of Rex Dale and Eva Laura Ponte Kelley. On August 12, 1934 she was united in marriage to Melvin Hufford in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1985. Christina had been employed at the Ordinance Plant in Middletown, IA during the war, and then later at Drydens and Deluxe Cleaners in Keokuk, IA. She was a member of the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA. She is survived by two sisters Frances Daniels of Gadsden, AL, and Martha Heavin of Keokuk, IA, her nephew Gary McCarty and her great nephew Kevin McCarty both of Keokuk, IA who had been her care-takers for many years and several other nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one daughter in infancy and two brothers, Ivan Kelley and Albert Kelley. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk. Visitation was held on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with family meeting with friends at that time. Memorials may be made to the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk or River Hills Village Activity Department.
