Charles Paul Sworski

Charles Paul Sworski, 63, of Keokuk, IA, died Friday, February 24, 2012 at Lexington Square in Keokuk, IA. He was born on September 25, 1948 in St. Cloud, MN, the son of Walter and Marilyn Anderson Sworski. On May 11, 1974 Charles was united in marriage to Susan J. Rapp in St. Cloud, MN. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Heather Sisk and her husband Jeff and Holli Sworski all of Keokuk, one son, Jamie Sworski and his wife Celeste of Tulsa, OK, three grandchildren, Jordan and Kylie Sisk of Keokuk and Brecken Sworski of Tulsa, his father, Walter Sworski of Waite Park, MN, three brothers, Larry Sworski and his wife Joan of Wadena MN, Loren Sworski and his wife Regina of Apple Valley, MN and Mark Sworski and his wife Sharon of St. Cloud, MN, four sisters, Diane Keiser of St. Cloud, MN, Cheryl Rooney of Minneapolis, MN, Mary Ladenthin and her husband John of Minnetonka, MN and Terese Eby and her husband Tom of Deer River, MN. He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Joseph Sworski. Charles had lived in Keokuk, IA for the past three years and prior to that lived in Minnesota. He had been employed as an OTR truck driver. He was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk, IA. Charles enjoyed being at the lake and fishing, playing cards and other games and watching sports. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Deacon Bill Cosgrove officiating.
