Charles Louis "Butch" Juel, 58, of Montgomery TX, died Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Ft. Madison Community Hospital in Ft. Madison, IA. He was born on December 15, 1950 in Ft. Madison, IA, the son of Louis Raymond Juel, Sr. and Dorothy Boatman Juel. On December 27, 1969, Charles was united in marriage to Deborah Sue Walter at the Melrose United Methodist Church in rural Argyle, IA. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Melissa Donaldson and her husband Mike of Milano, TX, one son, Eric Juel and his wife Kasey of Montgomery, TX, eight grandchildren, Michael Donaldson, Jr., Mandy Donaldson, MaKayla Donaldson, Mickey Donaldson, Dylan Juel, Autumn Juel, Brandon Juel and Amber Juel, two sisters, Shirley Baker and her husband Harold of Ft. Madison, IA, and Sharon Kamp and her husband Pat of Ft. Madison, IA, one brother, Louis Juel, Jr. of Argyle, IA, three brothers-in-law, Cheryl Holmes of Ft. Madison, IA, John Walter, Jr. and his wife Mary of Argyle, IA, and Bob Happs and his wife Shirley of Donnellson, IA, his mother-in-law, Wilma Walter of Argyle, IA, nieces, nephews and many friends in this area and in Montgomery, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Judy Holmes, and his father-in-law, John Walter, Sr. Charles graduated from Central Lee High School in Donnellson, IA with the Class of 1969. He was employed as a truck driver with Xcaliber in Texas. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and loved to spend time with his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Visitation was held after 2 p.m., Thursday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with the family meeting with friends from 6 – 8 p.m. There will be no service. A memorial has been established for his grandchildren's education.
