Charles W. "Chuck" Brown, 52, of Keokuk, IA died Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 4:38 p.m. at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa. Chuck was born November 13, 1953 in the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, IA the son of Perry LaVerne and Alice Tallman Brown. He was employed at the Gardner Denver Foundry at LaGrange, MO. He then worked as a handyman, doing cleaning and janitorial work and mowing lawns and doing lawn mower repairs. Chuck loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. He was an excellent pool player and was very hard to beat. He was a jack-of-all-trades, and could fix anything that needed fixed. Chuck loved his family. He is survived by his mother, Alice Mahoney of Keokuk, IA, one son, Jason Feikert and his wife Kris of Keokuk, IA, seven brothers, Raymond Tallman and his wife Sheryl of Keokuk, IA, Estel Brown and his special friend Joy Jobe of Keokuk, IA, Mike Keefe of Niantic, CT, Pat Keefe of Keokuk, IA, Kirk Keefe and his special friend Jackie Jones of Keokuk, IA, Byron Keefe and his wife Pam of Muscatine, IA and David Keefe and his wife Amy of Argyle, IA, two sisters, Susie Requier and her husband Dan of Niantic, CT, and Mary Edmiston of Mexico, MO, one brother in law, Kent Edmiston of Keokuk, IA, two grandchildren, Justin Sackman and Kelsey Feikert , one step-grandson Steven White, numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, his step-fathers, Byron Keefe and Earl Mahoney and his grandparents. Funeral serviceswere held at 1 p.m., Wednesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Brother Bill Hauser officiating.
